Within the joint capsule, synovial fluid lubricates the surfaces of the bones, ensuring frictionless movement and nourishing the surrounding tissues. 

Within the intricate structure of a joint lies a network of nerves that play a crucial role in our body’s sensory and motor functions. These nerves, known as articular nerves, innervate the joint capsule, ligaments, and surrounding tissues, providing vital feedback to the brain about the joint’s position, movement, and integrity. Sensory nerve endings within the joint detect changes in pressure, tension, and temperature, allowing us to perceive sensations such as pain, touch, and proprioception. Additionally, motor nerves supply the muscles around the joint, coordinating their contractions and ensuring precise control of movement.
